Now Hiring - Aggregate Sales Representative in Commerce City, CO

Asphalt Specialties is currently accepting applications for an experienced Aggregate Sales Representative. This position is responsible for aggregate sales, account management, project bidding and promotion of Asphalt Specialties Co., Inc.

Summary:
The successful candidate will serve as liaison between customers and ASCI by identifying and contacting current and prospective clients, generating sales, and servicing existing accounts to build and pursue new market opportunities, and develop business relationships.

The basic responsibilities of an Aggregate Sales Representative include, but not limited to the following:

• Retain existing customer base and market share while also seeking additional opportunities for expanding existing customer base, i.e., new customers, and markets.
• Gain market share within existing customers through the sale of the complete line of Asphalt Specialties Co., Inc. products and services including but not limited to, placing services, contractor supply, aggregates, asphalt, and asphalt contracting services. Integrate colleagues as needed into “bundled” sales opportunities.
• Bid all residential and light commercial work in assigned geographic territory.
• Respond to all customer requests and complaints in a timely manner and reaching a conclusion.
• Manage customer accounts to include sales, aging and collections.
• Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
• Oversees new and existing account services through quality checks and other follow-up as specified per department requirements; identifies and resolves client concerns.
• Demonstrate leadership in effectively communicating and establishing positive working relationships with key Customer and Asphalt Specialties Co., Inc. personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or equivalent industry training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years in sales, experience in the aggregate industry preferred
• Must be goal oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, owners, and suppliers.
• Ability to identify aggregate problems both in the pits and onsite locations.
• Proficiently use a computer and programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as JWS
• Must cold call or make direct contact in pursuit of new customers.
